Joseph Allen (1885-1935) came to the United States from the Bahamas
in 1912 at the age of 26. He was born the seventh child of
William & Addie Allen.
He met and married Nellie Clarke and they settled in Miami, expanding their family to include four children: Mildred, Carlysle, Vera and Elizabeth. Mildred still lives in the Miami area.
Samuel lived in Miami for many years, where he was employed at Captain Tom’s Fishery. He then separated from his wife and returned to the Bahamas where he died June 20, 1935 at the age of 50. Further research into his descendants is necessary.
