2008 Reunion Location:

 

Orlando, Florida!

 

Many thanks to Yvette Allen, granddaughter of Rev. Alexander Allen, for agreeing to hit the ground running with plans for the next Allen Family Reunion!

 

Why Orlando?  Because it's a great place to visit, with lots to see and do.  Whether you're into theme parks or shopping, Orlando has it all!

 

Also, we understand there's a 2007 mini reunion being planned for the descendants of Susan Allen and Willie Butcher Allen in Tarpum Bay.   Anyone who's interested may attend, though.

 

Additionally, for many U.S. Allens, a trip out of the country is a financial hardship.  Choosing a U.S. city helps us avoid shutting them out for two reunions in a row.

 

Several have asked about Key West.  Unfortunately, we do not have meeting space large enough to host due to the demolition of the hotel which previously hosted our reunion.

 

I apologize for not explaining this rationale during the reunion.  My thanks to those who brought the need for an explanation to my attention.

 

Mark your calendars now because the Allen Family will be in Orlando in 2008!

 

The descendants of Susan Allen will host the 2010 Allen Family Reunion in Tarpum Bay, Eleuthera.  The Allen Family is ready to go "Back to the Bay!"
